Phoenix Mac Anti-Theft Software
With Phoenix Mac Anti-Theft Software, keeping your laptop safe has never been easier. Phoenix keeps track of your precious MacBooks using the latest technology from iSight to identify a thief’s whereabouts!
According to the FBI’s National Crime Information Center, the number of reported laptop thefts increased almost 48% over the last two years, from 73,700 to almost 109,000. The number of reported phone robberies jumped 33% over the same period, from 60,100 to nearly 80,300.
Now you can increase the likelihood of recovering your laptop, and that peace of mind is priceless. Best of all, this is a one-time purchase. There’s no subscriptions to keep track of or renew. It really couldn’t be easier!
- Alert Messages are sent out silently in the background with no indication that the software is running when connected to the Internet. Repetitive alerts can be set to send a message every minute
- Password protection ensures there is no unauthorized access to the software. To prevent any mishandling, your laptop will automatically “freeze up” and disply details on how to contact the owner
- Autoruns every time there is an Internet connection
- Records a video using the built-in iSight camera* and immediately sends is out vian an alert together with other important information: IP addresses, machine serial number, MAC Hardware Address, and even details of nearby wireless networks! *Works on Mac machines without camera too
- Using Twitter, you can receive alerts via IM, email, from the web, and even as SMS Text message to your phone

How it works
Phoenix is a stealth program that can pinpoint the location* of a thief and collect vital details to assist in the recovery of a stolen Mac.
When your Mac connects to an internet network, an authentication dialog asks the user to enter a password. If the user fails to enter the correct password within the pre-determined time limit, hidden alerts (email, video, and Twitter message) are immediately sent out alerting the owner of the laptop’s location.
